A LAST-GASP strike saw Lichfield City nab all three points at Uttoxeter Town.

The Trade Tyre Community Stadium side fell behind on the half-hour mark when Mo Sidu struck for the hosts.

But Callum Griffin hit back immediately to level, before Sonny Sheasby stepped off the bench to net in the final minute.

Callum Rudd almost got City off to a perfect start with a header narrowly wide, while Dan Lomas also nodded past the upright in a bright opening.

But it was Uttoxeter who broke the deadlock when Sidu picked up on a loose ball to fire home.

Lichfield were only behind for two minutes though as Jack Edwards squared for Griffin to net.

Lomas against went close with a header while Edwards lashed over from close range as City went in search of a second goal.

Joe Haines was first to try his luck in the second half as his shot was well kept out by Xander Parker in the home goal.

The Uttoxeter keeper was being kept busy as he then had to turn away an Edwards free kick and save a Jude Taylor header.

But just as it looked like the game would end in a draw, Rudd’s long throw found Sheasby who nodded home to nab all three points.
